Your Questions, Answered
Planning a wedding cake comes with plenty of questions, and that’s completely expected. Below, I’ve answered some of the most common ones, but if anything feels unclear or you’d simply like to talk it through, you’re always welcome to get in touch.
-
Every Little Peony cake is bespoke, so pricing varies depending on size, design, and detail. As a guide, our most popular cake size is a small three-tier (4” / 6” / 8”), which serves around 100 guests and typically starts from £700, depending on the design.
You’ll find a little more detail on my Packages page, but I’m always happy to talk things through and help you understand what feels right for your day.

I usually recommend elegant finger portions (around 1” x 1”), as my tiers are generously tall and this tends to be the perfect size for most guests. If you’d prefer larger portions, or if you know your guests are particularly fond of cake (who can blame them?), we can absolutely adjust the size.
And if you’re dreaming of height and presence without extra cake, dummy tiers and/or contemporary separators, can be added to create the look you love without unnecessary waste. I’ll happily guide you through all of this so it feels simple and considered.

Yes indeed. Delivery and setup are all taken care of by me.
I deliver across Essex, Suffolk, Hertfordshire, and beyond (delivery fees apply based on distance). I’ll liaise directly with your venue to arrange the best timing and placement, so your cake is beautifully set up and picture-perfect when you arrive.
It’s one less thing for you to think about on the day.

Once you’ve secured your date and venue, it’s a lovely time to start thinking about your cake. I’d recommend enquiring around 12 months before your wedding, especially for popular dates.
That said, if your wedding is sooner, it’s always worth getting in touch and I’ll let you know what’s possible.
-
Yes, absolutely! It’s one of my favourite ways to finish a cake.
I work closely with your florist to make sure the flowers complement your bouquet and wider styling perfectly, so everything feels beautifully cohesive when it comes together on the day.
-
I certainly do - and I love doing it.
My signature biscuit favours are designed to complement your cake and elevate your tables, offering your guests a thoughtful (and delicious) detail to enjoy and take home. You can view examples in the gallery to see how beautifully they sit alongside the cakes.

I’m happy to create gluten-free, dairy-free, and plant-based cakes. However, please note that all cakes are made in a kitchen that handles gluten, dairy, and animal products, so they may not be suitable for those with severe allergies.
If you have specific concerns, I’d always encourage you to get in touch so we can talk through what’s possible together.
-
Of course! And many couples do.
Different flavours across tiers are a lovely way to offer variety and make the cake even more enjoyable for your guests (and for you). If you’re finding it hard to choose, I promise you’re not alone. I’ll happily help you narrow things down.
If there’s anything you’re still wondering about or something you’d simply like to talk through, please don’t hesitate to contact me. I’m always happy to help, and there’s no such thing as a silly question.
